ooooh ♥ faerie wings! ♥

these are a SNAP to make.
or you could clap, fairies love clapping.
forget about cutting up wire hangers and messing with difficult structure, I promise they are EASY to construct!

NOTE:
they are feather light so you’ll forget you have them on,
which is great when you are rambling through the forest,
(but it might get you some funny looks at the grocery store!)

you can get this pattern 2 different ways:

  1. it is featured in my new book Woodland knits.
  2. you can download the pdf right here on this page ♥

the technical stuff
Size: one size fits all from children to adults.
the straps are adjustable so you can make them any size.

Yarns used: Lace weight mohair such as:
Pink wings: Rowan Kidsilk Haze, 25 g - 229 yds - 209 m, 70% Mohair 30% Silk, Color: 580 Grace (light pink.) 1 ball.
Green wings: Nimu Kidsty, 50 g - 550 yds - 500 m, 70% Mohair 30% Silk, Color: 54113 (green.)

Tension/gauge: This is a very loose web-like fabric so gauge is mutable. Work 11 sts to measure 4” in St stitch using US 9 or 5.5 mm needles with lacey mohair yarn.

Notions: A set of US 9 (5.5 mm) dpns, A set of US 4 (3.5 mm) dpns, stitch markers, tapestry needle, about 2 yds of 20 gauge strong beading/craft wire, size F crochet hook for optional wing veins, wire cutters.
