Notes From the Designer:

The Faie Sweater features lace panels on both the front and back sides, as well as beautifully textured and billowy bishop sleeves. Knitted in the round from the bottom up, this fitted design offers a romantic silhouette. The front and back are split at the armholes, and the remainder of the bodice is knitted flat in two pieces. A three-needle bind-off is used to re-join the shoulders before stitches are picked up at the armholes to knit the sleeves. Finally, stitches are knit together at the wrist to create the ribbed cuff, and a decorative seed stitch border is added to the neckline.

This piece is knitted in the round from the bottom up. The front and back are split into two pieces once you reach the armholes, and the two pieces are then knitted flat. The front and back are then joined at the shoulder using a three-needle bind-off. Instructions for this technique are included in the Finishing Section. Stitches are picked up around the armholes, and the sleeves are knitted in the round before switching to a smaller needle size for the cuffs. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline, and a border is used to finish off the piece. Charts for the lace sections are included at the end of the pattern.
