This simple colorwork design uses two colors of fingering weight yarn. Use similar colors for a gentle, gradual fade. Both written and charted instructions are provied.

Sizes:

  • 0-3 mo (3-6 mo, 6-12 mo, toddler, child, adult M, adult L)
  • Finished circumference: 12” (14.5”, 15.5”, 17”, 18.5”, 20”, 21.5”)

Gauge

  • 14 st and 17 rounds = 2” in Stockinette stitch (single color)Note: Gauge may be slightly different for the different colorwork sections. This can be corrected with blocking after the hat is completed.

Yarn:

  • Color One (C1): Fingering weight yarn- 75 yds (0-3 mos), 85 yds (3-6 mos size), 100 yds (6-12 mo), 110 yds (toddler size), 150 yds (child), 175 yds (Adult M), 200 yds (Adult L)
  • Color Two (C2): Fingering weight yarn- 75 yds (0-3 mos), 85 yds (3-6 mos size), 100 yds (6-12 mo), 110 yds (toddler size), 150 yds (child), 175 yds (Adult M), 200 yds (Adult L)
