Summer means local and state fairs in many locations that are full of rides, games, competitions, shows, snacks, family, and friends. Here’s a sun hat worthy of the glitz and fun that combines both crochet and knit stitches in the spirit of fair craft competitions.

This hat is crafted from the crown to the brim. The crown is uses crochet stitches, and the remainder of the hat uses knit stitches. Shape is maintained by millinery wire or equivalent attached with single crochet stitches.
