I was inspired by the old Chinese porcelain to create this little jewellery basket.

The piece is knitted as a sphere and then tucked in, to create a steady and double-sided container.

The pattern instructions are for a 8 cm (3.14”) in diameter by 4cm (1.57”) in depth, but it can easily be made in different sizes and depths, by changing the needle size and yarn ply, or by adding extra increase and decrease rows.

To make this pattern easier to knit, you can also add just one color or work in flat and seam it in the end.

Why not try to knit it with raffia or cotton yarn and give it a rustic look?!

The options are infinite and I would love to see your creations!

Happy knitting!
