This is a pattern to cover an A5 hardback book. The book in question is quite thin (spine width 3/10s inch), if yours is on the chunky side, at some extra rows between rows 65 and 66.

NB - the second picture is the book laid out flat. The two ends of the knitted piece are folded over and sewn forming “sleeves” to slide the front and back covers into.
