Have some fun with Fair Isle! Perfect for a first Fair Isle project!

Warm woolly booties, with multiple options for peeries (the smallest pattern elements in Fair Isle knitting) and motifs, these incorporate traditional designs, using no more than two colours at once, into a modern shape for babies. Use a vibrant palette of colours, or choose a more muted colour scheme. Your main colour can be either light or dark. All peeries and motifs are charted and are shown with both light and dark backgrounds.

Fair Isle Booties are designed for fingering weight yarn and use between 20 and 35g total in your choice of colours. There are directions for five sizes (newborn to 18 months). Started like a toe-up sock, then seamlessly knitted in the round, they have an inside ribbed cuff which makes them fit snugly. No chance of the floats from the Fair Isle getting caught in little toes – they’re hidden completely inside the cuffs! These sweet and cozy little booties make perfect new baby, shower, or holiday gifts.
