A cardigan and hat with an easy fair isle pattern around the yoke, knit in double knit yarn. Separate instructions are given for knitting on straight needles worked in rows, and for dpns, working in the round.

You will need approx:
Sweater: 50g double knit yarn in main, 5g contrast 1 and 5g contrast 2
Hat: 30g double knit yarn in main, 5g contrast 1 and 5g contrast 2
Needles size: 3.25mm and 4mm (US 3 and 6) straight or double pointed/circular, 5 small buttons
