This lovely colorwork hat and cowl have been created for Tunisian crochet in-the-round (TITR), requiring a double-ended crochet hook. I prefer a straight hook but a double-ended cabled hook will work as well.
This pattern assumes that you know how to do Tunisian Knit stitch, Tunisian Reverse stitch and how you keep your edges straight and neat.

Original is worked in Drops Flora, in 5 colors:
Light grey (03) 76m/83yds
Denim Blue (13) 47m/51yds
Indigo (10) 38m/42yds
Pink(21) 42m/46yds
Amethyst(09) 21m/23yds

The colors have been chosen in two groups: Darker colors Denim, Indigo and Amethyst for background/striping and lighter colors Light grey and Pink for the motifs. If you choose your own colors, I recommend keeping the two groups in same-value colors.
