This lace stole is worked in two identical halves, beginning with the sideways border, which are then grafted together in the centre. A large needle size is used to make a beautifully light and lofty fabric. The lace pattern can be worked either from the charts or the written instructions. A circular needle is recommended for this project, to accommodate the large number of stitches, but it is worked flat so you can use straight needles if you prefer.
