This is a PDF pattern for a Scandinavian-style sweater and tam to fit an 14 to 14.5 inch doll similar to Wellie Wishers or Hearts for Hearts dolls. The sweater can be worn as a cardigan with the buttons down the front or as a pullover with the buttons down the back. Body and sleeves are knit separately to the underarm then joined for the yoke. The sleeves are knit in the round. The body and stranded fair isle yoke are knit flat back and forth with both knit and purl rows. At the yoke, the button band and buttonhole band are knit from yarn on bobbins using an intarsia method. The cuffs and hem of the sweater are knit in 2-color corrugated rib. The pattern PDF is 7 pages and includes written instructions and charts for the stranded colorwork. This pattern is designed by me and was tested by 4 other knitters.

This purchase is for a PDF KNITTING PATTERN, not the doll or clothing pictured.
You are welcome to sell the completed knitted items from this pattern, but please credit me with the design and if possible, provide a link to my Ravelry store for the pattern. Please do not copy, sell or re-distribute this pattern.

SKILL: Intermediate. This pattern includes basic knitting techniques as well as the following additional techniques:
Fair isle/stranded knitting both flat back and forth and in the round on circular needles or double pointed needles. I used the magic loop technique.
Making 1 stitch M1 by lifting the bar of yarn between 2 stitches to create a new stitch.
Following a color and knitting symbols chart.
Making buttonholes with yarn over and knit 2 together.
Using intarsia method for button band and buttonhole band.
Grafting underarm seams using Kitchener stitch or preferred method of joining live stitches.
Decreasing using a centered double decrease for the tam.

MATERIALS:
Needles: US 000/1.5 mm and US 0/2 mm needles. US 000 /1.5 mm and US 0/2 mm either double point or circular for the sleeves and hat. If you are using magic loop, you will need at least a 40”/100 cm cable.
Yarn: Fingering. Use any yarn that will give you a gauge of 34 stitches and 40 rows per 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch with US 0/2 mm needles.
I used the following yarn amounts for the hat and sweater in the photo, but you may need more or less:
Sandnes Garn Sisu 50 g/175 m per ball fingering
MC: Pale pink #3511 81 yards/74 meters
CC1: Dark rose #4554 26 yards/24 meters
CC2: Off white #100126 yards/24 meters
CC3: Forest green #9544 15 yards/14 meters
