I designed this stole to be simple and easy to knit. It can be changed considerably based on what kind of yarn you use and how big your needles are.. I have knit it (to date) in two different yarns and much larger than “typical” gauge and it turns out beautifully.

The sample shown was knit in Gossamer Web Gryffin on US8/5.0mm needles. It could easily have blocked to larger than 22”x72” had I desired.

Some advantages:

  • Simple to memorize chart
  • Written directions for those who prefer them
  • Can knit “as directed” or use the included options to change sizes
  • Can be knit in yarns ranging from Cobweb to Worsted
  • Designed to knit until shawl is as long as you want or you run out of yarn
  • Originally designed to end up as a nice sized shawl with only 600 meters of luxury yarn
  • Expandable to accommodate other variations in width, length and yarn/gauge
