These adorable fairy hats and petals skirts are sure to create a lasting memory as a newborn photo accessory! Great for baby’s first photos, this pattern works up quickly using basic stitches, making it a great option for beginning crafters. This outfit also makes an awesome baby shower gift! The skirt comes with 3 options - a single layer of petals, two layers of petals, or a layer of petals with a layer of tulle behind it, as shown in the sample.

I was inspired to design this pattern after finding there weren’t many easy and straight forward fairy patterns for photography options! This is sure to become your new go-to. The PDF also includes 2 pages of photos to help in adding the tulle to the skirt.

This pattern includes directions for 2 sizes, 0-3 mo and 3-6 mo. The skirt is the same pattern for both sizes with an adjustable ribbon or chain added for flexibility, with notes on how to shorten or lengthen the petals as desired.

The sample product used Red Heart Super Saver in Tea Leaf (green) and Gold.

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn in two colours, ~140-200 yards of MC, ~75 yards of CC.

Hook(s): H (5 mm), I (5.5 mm)

Notions: Yarn needle for weaving in ends.

Optional: Tulle for skirt

This pattern is tested and ranked for adventurous beginner crocheters. The construction is done entirely in one piece - that means no assembling or lining up pieces when you’re done!
