Let’s hear it for SWEATER WEATHER! I’m so glad that the cooler weather is here and we can start showing off our handknits. If you’ve been craving a new sweater for this season, then check out Fairy Lights, my brand new design.

Fairy Lights is a top-down seamless adventure in colour and texture:

  • Simple textured rib yoke for a great fit around the shoulders and chest
  • Pops of colour that will brighten your outfit without overwhelming your look
  • Gathered stitches - a simple technique for that gives eye-catching results
  • DK weight yarn = quick to knit
  • 9 adult sizes

The pattern includes both a chart and written instructions for the gathered stitch pattern used in the yoke.

Construction
The pullover is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down. Knitting begins with a ribbed neck. The stranded yoke is worked in Gathered Stitch Pattern from a chart or written instructions. Short rows are worked to raise the back before dividing for sleeves. Stitches are held for sleeves, and knitting continues down the body, ending with a ribbed hem. Sleeve stitches are returned to the needles and sleeves are knit in the round from the top down, ending with a ribbed cuff.
