It has long been a favourite of ours to knit mini ornaments for friends at the holidays. We give them as gifts, hang them on trees and think they are just the cutest. These take very small amounts of both yarn and your time to work up. Have fun using up bits of leftover yarns and make each one unique.

A Grocery Girls collaboration from the winter kit 2022! This is a collection of 6 patterns. Five are designed by Tracie Millar and the mini mosaic hat is designed by Jodi Brown

So many fun techniques to play with in this one collection:

  • mosaic (slip stitch) colourwork
  • stranded colourwork -marling yarns to create a faded fabric
  • linen stitch
  • basketweave texture
  • wavy lace
  • fringe!!**

Pattern Highlights:
- This collection of mini knits uses very small amounts (between 8-13g) of fingering weight yarn held double or DK.

  • These are super speedy to knit and are the perfect choice to use tiny scraps of leftover yarns.

  • There are video links to tutorials for Long tail cast on, how to make an I-cord and adding fringe

  • the mini snowflake mitten is charted for the colourwork.

  • These make adorable ornaments as well as gift toppers!

  • this pattern has been test knit and professionally tech edited. Thank you!
