The woodland fairies of A Midsummer Night’s Dream are prankish and slightly troublesome but, as we learn at the end of the play, willing to bestow good fortune on the humans that they’ve enjoyed tormenting. Cassandra and Alex like to think that Titania, the Queen of the Fairies, secretly covets a more human life and would occasionally enjoy having tea parties with her fellow forest friends. And, of course, she would have a most beautifully decorated tea cozy for her teapot.
