The stitch pattern contracts but is highly stretchy, providing at least 10 cm of ease. I fell in love with the pumpkin pattern of the stitch, and I didn’t want to block the garment to allow the patterns to stand out. However, blocking can be done after wetting and stretching, just remember to be gentle, as it’s silk yarn.
The yoke of the sweater is knit in the round on circular needles from the top down, starting from the center back. You may choose to knit short rows at the back of the neck for a better fit. Divide the yoke into front and back sections and sleeves. The front and back sections are knitted in the round on circular needles from the top down. The sleeves are knitted on shorter circular needles from the top down. You can knit the sweater longer and the sleeves to full length if desired, but consider the amount of yarn available.
