Inspired by the veining in butterfly wings, this shawl can be made in bright colors like a butterfly or dark colors like bat wings.

The shawl measures about 5 feet from wing tip to wing tip. It can be made smaller by using a smaller hook and lighter weight yarn.

Made with a solid yarn in light colors the post stitches stand out and you can see the texture. Interest is added when you use self-striping yarn or change colors throughout the pattern.

This pattern is not for beginners. Lots of counting is involved.

This pattern has been tested and re-tested. If you still find an error or have trouble with the pattern, please message me.
