The Fairy Wisp Shawl takes you on a journey through a fairy tale where you will explore cosy garter stitch, ethereal sections of laceweight mohair, and a wavy lace design. The asymmetrical triangular construction starts at the smallest tip, and graduates into the lace edge.

Charts are included for the lace sections in addition to written line by line instructions.

Yarn: The sample used a total of 756yds / 690m of fingering weight yarn AND 275yds / 252m of laceweight mohair yarn in the following amounts:

  • Colour A – 86g (344yds/314m): Lay Family Yarn High Twist Fingering in “Quirrell”(400yds/365m per 100g)
  • Colour B – 89g (412yds/376m): Mr B’s Yarn Hiddleston 4 ply in “Duchess” (464yds/425m per 100g)
  • Lace Weight Mohair – 30g (275yds/252m): Mr B’s Yarn Timberlake Lace in “Fuzzy Mauve” (459yds/420m per 50g)

Recommended Needle Size: 32” or longer 3.75mm (US Size 5) circular needle, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 23 sts / 36 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch
