The FALGARWOOD Shawl--Pattern #50 from cold comfort knits!

A generously proportioned asymmetrical shawl featuring elegant Estonian shells nestled among soothing garter stitch stripes. Created with two shades of hand-dyed Merino and two shades of mohair, FALGARWOOD is a highly knittable shawl to relax with now, and a highly wearable shawl to wrap up in later—cold comfort indeed!

For Pattern #50, I wanted to showcase some of my most favourite elements of knitting. FALGARWOOD features:

  • Hand-dyed yarn from a local indie dyer
  • Soft and fluffy mohair
  • A muted colour palette
  • A classic stitch pattern combined with a simple-yet-effective motif
  • An easy-to-memorize pattern for the ultimate in knitty relaxation
  • And a BIG super-cozy finished object to wrap up in--I like big shawls and I cannot lie!
