This is a fun knitted-lace knit that allows you to focus on the knitting, with minimal shaping but highlighting this amazing self-striping DK-weight yarn. Sample shown used 546 yards (2 skeins) of Ella Rae’s “Marmel” (58% cotton, 42% acrylic) in the gorgeous Rose Quartz colorway, all the fall colors to delight the wearer. Sample shown has neck edge very close to neck; option allows for a looser neck if so desired

Directions are charted and written out, row by row.

• Starting at bottom of front, work garter edge than you’ll repeat the lace chart 3 times across, keeping first and last few stitches in knit-in garter edging
• Directions (row by row and chart) ONLY details the odd rows – all even rows you will purl across all the sts between the garter side edging
• After three vertical repeats, you will slip center sts to hold and work shoulders
• After shoulders are worked, you’ll work the back panel
• When all done with panels, you’ll pick up stitches from around the neck (the cast-on sts are the back neck) and work in the round for a rolled-edge binding
• NOTE: you will slip-as-if-to-purl every first st of a row
