Fall Leaves Garden Shawl
Fall Leaves Garden Shawl - description
The Shawl is knitted with simple linear motion, but when put together it looks like non-linear and gives the visual effect of a leaf (no short rows - just straight knit and some magic to it). In my case, I am using 3-pointed leaf (because spreads and looks the most pleasant and eye-catching, elegant and beautiful. The variegated color yarn will give you the different shades of colors and therefore the leaves will be each different, looking like the real one. And the placing of colors of leaves if also fun – it is your preference and choice, play with it and see what you like. The shawl is stunning on its own, gorgeous to wear and you can wear anywhere: at the cottage, formal function, or street walk – the shawl’s beauty will glamour your natural beauty and you will “stand out nicely in the crowd.”
The shawl is done with knitted leaves – 66 leaves with 11 rows; starting at Row 1 = 1 leaf; Row 2 = 2 leaves; Row 3 = 3 leaves; and so on until Row 11 = 11 leaves.
The 11 Rows is my choice, but you can have a shorter/smaller or larger shawl, and this depends on the number of rows you input/attach – below is the chart.
Also 9 rows shawl looks amazing (as per picture with model on the deck); the shawl can be folded or open as per picture; can have 11 rows or more or fewer – YOUR CHOICE.
I used thin yarn (any brand and color variation is good, as long as you will have in a ball or skein 550 meters/600 yards per 100 grams of yarn) or something similar (doesn’t need to be exact).
Now, with that yarn knowledge, each yarn ball (100 grams = 550 meters/600 yards) will give you 17 full leaves and you will have a bit leftover for the connecting or finishing.
The leaves are knitted separately and are joined to shawl (connected to create shawl).
