Fall Walk Basic Beginner Cowl
The Fall Walk Basic Beginner Cowl was designed specifically for new knitters learning how to read patterns. The skills required are only the core knitting skills: knit, purl, cast on, bind off. I wanted to reduce the challenge of learning how to read a pattern, while also creating a garment that was stunning and relatively quick.
Advanced knitters will love this fast knit for gifts and showing off bulky hand dyed yarn.
It is recommended that beginner knitters choose a solid color yarn, to make it easier to read your knitting. “Read your knitting” means that you can look at your knitting and identify what is a knit stitch and what is a purl stitch, as well as being able to count and find your place in a pattern.
This cowl is sized for adults and older teens. It is stretchy enough to fit most people.
The Fall Walk Basic Beginner Cowl is knit flat then seamed together at the end. You can use straight or circular needles, whatever your preference.
