Fallburst is a circular pattern of leaves radiating out from one central leaf. There are two Fallbursts on each sock: one on the leg and one on the foot. Half of each Fallburst is seen on the front of the sock, and the other half wraps around to the back of the sock.

The second sock is mirrored, so that the Fallburst on the legs is centered on the outside of the leg, while the Fallburst on the foot is centered on the inner part of the foot, which also creates the full Fallburst visible on top of the feet when both feet are put together.

Of course, you could also choose to switch the socks to the opposite feet and have the full Fallburst showing on the front part of the legs instead!

I hope you enjoy how the pattern interacts with itself, and the play between the pattern and negative space which creates a unique looking pair of socks from all angles.

Due to the long floats in these socks, I highly recommend using the Ladderback Jacquard method to manage them. A link to my tutorial video for this technique is included in the pattern.

Gauge: 36 stitches and 40 rows to 4” (10cm) worked in stranded colorwork in the round
