Falling Leaves is a comfortable and versatile sweater, suitable for many occasions. A blend of lace stitches and stranded knitting, featuring a “falling leaves” motif, makes this garment unique, harmonious, and perfect for the autumn season.
It is a top-down, circular yoke sweater. Gradual increases are made in the yoke up to the sleeves that will be put on hold onto holder or scrap yarn and then resumed later. This way there will be no seams.
The yoke is made up of a single chart that contains the increases.
The pattern consists of designs and colors inspired by autumn foliage. The length of the body can be easily customized.
The pattern features stranded knitting technique (even 3 colors per round).
We used a hand-dyed yarn made of wool, alpaca, and silk.
For the base, we chose a natural color with a subtle mélange effect that adds a touch of refinement to the garment.
Falling Leaves comes in 12 sizes (from 76 to 173 cm 29.9to 68“ bust circumference).

GAUGE
22 stitches and 30 rows = 10X10 cm 4” in stockinette with 4 mm/ US 6 needles. Make sure you have the same tension even when you work in stranded knitting.

Falling Leaves è un maglione comodo e versatile, adatto a molte occasioni. Un misto di punti traforati e lavorazione stranded knitting a tema “ foglie cadenti” rendono il capo originale armonioso e perfetto per la stagione autunnale.
E’ un modello lavorato in tondo dall’alto verso il basso, si eseguono degli aumenti graduali nello sprone fino ad arrivare alle maniche che verranno messe in sospeso su un filo per poi essere riprese successivamente. In questo modo non ci saranno cuciture. Nello sprone si segue un unico schema contenente gli aumenti. Lo schema è costituito da disegni e colori che si ispirano al foliage autunnale. La lunghezza del corpo può essere variata facilmente. Nel modello si utilizza la tecnica jacquard a più colori, (anche 3 colori per riga). Abbiamo usato un filato tinto a mano in lana, alpaca e seta. Abbiamo scelto come base un colore naturale con un leggero effetto melange che impreziosisce il capo.
Nel pattern sono disponibili 12 taglie (da 76 a 173 cm di circonferenza busto), la guida alle taglie e la tabella nel PDF ti aiuteranno a scegliere la vestibilitá che preferisci.
