The Falling Leaves set will appeal to experienced and new lace knitters alike. It is an excellent choice for a first lace knitting project as it only requires a few stitches to create a beautiful repeating leaf pattern. The design is versatile enough to take you from everyday wear to an evening out, all while you stay nice and cosy.

The set is designed to be used with Flora Fibres DK weight Tencel yarn, and uses 2 x 100g for the complete set. The hat alone uses 50g, and the scarf pattern as written uses 100g, with instructions on how to make the scarf wider and/or longer to suit your needs. Tencel is a wonderful choice for a hat and scarf set as the yarn is thermoregulating, meaning it will keep you cosy and warm on cold days, but you won’t overheat in warmer weather.

The pattern includes instructions for two different hat sizes: S (teenage/small adult, with a head circumference of around 51-52cm) and M/L (adult, with a head circumference of 56-57cm); and a one size fits all scarf, with both written instructions and a chart. The hat is worked in the round on either a circular or double pointed needles, and it includes both written instructions, and charts. The pattern also includes tips on how to block your finished hat to ensure the best fit. The set is knitted using 3mm needles.
