As fall creeps up on us, the mornings have just enough chill to make us want a simple pair of mitts to warm our hands. Fingerless tips let our fingers enjoy the warmth of a cup of tea while we wait for the bus or, let’s be real, as we scroll on our phones. Alternating colors add a fun twist and the Star Stitch is worked in a single slipped row – not stranded color work.

MATERIALS
YARN: Two 1 oz mini skeins of Dragonfly Fibers Traveller DK with strong contrast will make two mitts with alternating colors. You might be able to get identical mitts, but it would be really close!

NEEDLES: US2 and US5 circular needles, at least 32” in length. Pattern is written using Magic Loop. DPNs can also be used.

NOTIONS: one stitch marker, tapestry needle, waste yarn.

SIZING NOTES
One size fits most adults/teens. You can increase the width in multiples of 6 stitches or the length by increasing the 4 row repeats in the body -- but either choice will increase yarn usage accordingly.

SAMPLE PHOTO COLORWAYS
Hot Pants & The Maiden, Nekkid & West With The Night, Joshua Tree & Dragon Wagon. Strong contrast works best. Be aware when mixing dark colors (especially reds) with white - soak for just 5 minutes or less when blocking to minimize bleeding.
