This hat was designed for my large headed husband for whom it fits slightly snugly like a beanie. I tried it on my 20” head and loved the looser but not slouchy fit. My 9 year old granddaughter put it on and looked adorable with a turned cuff and a slouchier fit.
The Colorwork is easy and intuitive with no charting necessary. Any worsted or Aran weight yarn will work with slight variation in the size of the finished hat. The stretchiness of the deep cuff provides accommodation to a wide range of sizes. Both the main color and the contrasting color require less than a skein each: approximately 180 yards of color A and 80 yards of color B.
