This pattern is based on Pattern 56 in the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible. I loved the rounded leaf shape and the way it flowed from several motifs down to one motif.

This pattern is stretchy, and one size. For larger socks, used larger needles and heavier yarn.

Gauge required is based on yarn weight and needle size:

SM = 10 sts/in & 12 rows/ in;
MED = 9 sts/in & 11 rows/in;
LG = 7 sts/in & 10 rows/in

This is the Bonus Pattern for Round One of Sock Madness, and will be available for free to the general knitting public after the competition ends in mid-June.

MATERIALS:
Yarn: SM: Lichen & Lace; Med: Lorna’s Laces Solemate; Lg: Socks That Rock Heavyweight. 1 skein/pair of socks.
Needles: SM: 2.0 mm (US #0); Med: 2.25 mm (US #1); Lg: 2.75mm (US #2)
Accessories: stitch markers, highlighter tape, tapestry needle, scissors, pencil, calculator
