Fanciful Rainbow Stripes Project Bag
With the resurgence of vintage knitting, Kaasi Legacy Designs created a project bag pattern for the vintage knitting community. This project bag is based on the 1940’s Rainbow Jumper and the 1940’s Weldon’s colorwork socks (as shown by RetroClaude here on Ravelry and on her Youtube channel.)
Inspired by the Make Do and Mend movement during WWII, this design is meant to use whatever leftover scraps you may have floating around in your stash. The project bag can be made using leftover materials, or you can come up with a color palette to make it personal to you or someone you love. It’s a completely customizable design, including three sizes, based on the wooden handles you purchase, using various yarn weights (from Fingering Weight to Aran/Worsted Weight).
