I first made this hat several years ago around Thanksgiving for a little turkey in my life and it has remained a favorite through the years. I recently made a new one and had the idea to adapt it from a turkey to a peacock. Once I made the peacock, I realized It could be adapted to other birds as well, real or fantastical. Swan? Rainbow turkey? Disco peacock? The sky’s the limit.

I suggest Red Heart or Big Twist because I’m most familiar with them, but any worsted weight craft yarn in colors that look right to you should be fine.

I find sizing to be tricky, but there are 3 sizes included - toddler/small child, child/adult small, and adult large.
