Fancy Jane is an adorable top down cardigan that is knit in one piece with no seaming. The bodice and shoulders are knit in garter stitch, then the sleeves are placed on hold while the skirt is knit in a Feather and Fan variation until it is finished with a garter stitch edging. The sleeves are picked up and knit in the round with garter stitch and feature a Feather and Fan embellishment. Last, stitches are picked up on each front edge to create garter stitch button bands.

The stylish matching hat is knit from the bottom up and has an I-cord bow.

A schematic is included for measurements as well as directions for altering sleeve and skirt length. In addition, larger yarn diameter may be used with corresponding needles to knit a larger size cardigan.
