As part of the Fangirl Boomerang Fade Shawl there are instructions for how to create a Basic Boomerang Shawl using any weight yarn or needle size.

The wonderful thing about fade shawls is that you don’t “have” to follow the pattern. All you have to do is have a single color section followed by a fade section (2 colors). This pattern has 7 sections - 4 single color sections and 3 fade sections. A/AB/B/BC/C/CD/D

Before starting the shawl, experiment with how you’d like to arrange the yarns. Take photos. Be creative. Enjoy the process.

Yarn: 4 skeins Fingering Weight Yarn each 450+ yards
You will have enough yarn to make 2 shawls - in reverse color order.

Yardage: Approximately 950 yards per shawl

Needles: Size 5 or to gauge

Gauge: 6 sts x 12 rows = 1”

Finished size - before blocking approximately 80” wingspan. Block to desired width.
