This hat can be made with 2 balls of 8 ply Cotton or Wool, use some from your stash for the features. The pattern is exactly the same pattern as the Novelty Zebra Hat, Any of the Novelty Animal and Bird Hats can be created to be fantasy by changing the colours to suit the child or adult.
What little girl doesn’t want a pink or purple hat? or the boys a blue or green. If you belong to a sporting team why not make one in the colours of the team. Have a go and see what you come up with. You can share your ideas with others.
