> Farewell!

Farewell!
I tried bidding them adieu, wishing them good luck, waving au revoir…but that’s not a proper send-off for a friend! It wasn’t until I bade them farewell and gifted them a hat knit with love and cashmere ;-) that I could stomach ‘goodbye’ in any form.
For loved ones who are called into the chilly winters, Farewell gives the knitter a canvas to play with color and revel in texture.
Adult OS to fit a head 21”-23” in circumference.
Gauge: 16 stitches and 24 rows = 4” x 4” in stockinette on a US size 8 (5.0mm) needle. You’ll need a 16” circular needle, and a 32” or 40” circular needle to work magic loop.
Modify needle size as needed to achieve gauge, or your desired size.
The brown sample is knit in one strand of Frankie Grey Fibers Merino Nylon DK held with two strands of Frankie Grey Fibers Majestic Fluff.
I used 50 grams (123 yards) of Frankie Grey Fibers Merino Nylon DK and 26 grams (227 yards) of Frankie Grey Fibers Majestic Fluff in the color chestnut to make my sample.
The blue sample is knit with two strands of sport weight yarn, one strand of lace weight yarn, and one strand of lace weight mohair yarn.
You will need approximately 130 yards (119 meters) of bulky weight yarn, or 130 yards of each lighter weight yarn held together to make a bulky weight equivalent.
