Your size’s choice should be based on finished head measurements. Age label is just there to give a reference.
Choose a finished measurement that is about 0.5’’ smaller than actual head size.

Materials
• 90 (110, 130, 140, 200, 260) yards of fingering weight yarn or any other yarn that gives gauge
• 16’’ circular needle US # 2½ (3 mm) or any size required to obtain gauge
• Double pointed needles US #2½ (3 mm) or same size as circular needle used.
• Other : 3 stitch markers
