The Fargo Shawlette is inspired by the book I was reading while knitting up this design. It was one of the Fargo Files books by Clive Cussler about a couple (the Fargos) who are independently wealthy treasure hunters beset by troubles and the criminal underworld of antiquity collection. So…a fun, but not too serious, read…and knit.

There is a slight trick to starting this shawlette. The centre tab is 18 stitches wide. This makes it difficult to use one set of needles when turning, so I recommend either doing magic loop or using dpns.

You will need about 450 yards of a main colour and 50 yards of a contrast colour for the edge. That is, if you choose to do a contrast colour. Do what you like. Imagination is the game!
