fat cit·y
nouninformal
1.a condition of great prosperity or good fortune.
“With a new house and a better-paying job, she’s in Fat City.”

I bought this funky yarn at Vogue Knitting Live in New York City and felt pretty fortunate and special to be there, hence the name Fat City. This is a very quick knit, and the fancy ribbed stitch gives the hat an interesting texture. I used nearly all of the yarn in the skein for this project and added a purchased pom pom to the top. If you wish to make a pom pom using matching yarn, you will have to purchase a second skein. There are about six decreases made using a cable needle; otherwise the project is knit in an easy ribbed stitch.
