This pattern is written very carefully in English and German language, with a lot of details and pictures. It is test knitted and approved by myself. The pattern includes chart for the crown and instructions for following techniques:

  • Provisional cast on
  • 3-needle joining technique
  • Making 2-layers with 2 circular needles.

My goal was to make it available to all types of knitters.

Head circumference: 21,5 – 23,5” (Kopfumfang 55 – 60cm).

The pattern is very simplistic with size changes. You can also use any kind of fingering weight yarn for it.

Skills needed: Knit, Purl, Increase (make 1), Decrease (knit 2 together, purl 2 together), charts reading, cables and first experience in knitting socks using double pointed needles.

Materials:
4 & 6 pcs double pointed needles, size 2.5 (3mm),
One circular needle size 1.5 (2.5mm),
One cable needle size 2.5 (3 mm),
One crochet hook size 2.5 (2mm),
One tapestry needle,
Approx. 80 yds of any appropriate yarn in contrasting colour for provisional cast on.
One button.

This pattern is very alterable. With some applications (fringes, tassels, cords, buttons) you can achieve amazing effects.
