This piece has a lot of versatility. It can be worn as an open loop around the neck like a scarf – as a closed flat loop, one end pulled through the loop that forms at the other end NY style. You can wear it encircling the shoulders like a shawl, doubled around the neck as an even warmer cowl or with one loop pulled loosely up over the head as a hood!

I love the look of Fair Isle but for me, all the counting and patterned color-work is a bit too ambitious. If you feel that way too, but you still love the almost Fair Isle look of this piece, this is an easy option, a way to ‘fake it.’ You can have this Faux Fair Isle look with out all the counted stitches and multiple spools dangling and tangling under your needles.
