The Favo Tote has a unique name. I couldn’t simply name it the Hexi, Hexagon, Bee, or Honeycomb Tote. I dug deep into species of bees, famous bee keepers, bee sanctuaries, etc. Then, I did a search for what the word “honeycomb” was in other languages. There it was … FAVO (fà·vo), the Italian word for honeycomb. It was perfect!

The Favo Tote uses a hybrid of crochet techniques. Working with the Tunisian Honeycomb stitch and Filet Crochet. The Tunisian body is worked in the round seamlessly, with the Filet worked in turned rounds, and the straps worked bottom up and seamed.

The pattern includes:

  • Yarn quantities and complete materials list.
  • Clear and detailed written instructions. Including photos and a stitch diagram.
  • Tunisian crochet stitches tutorial.
  • Written in standard US terms.
