This updated pattern motif is fully explained with 13 pages of clear directions and helpful photos in my newly released design, SOFT AS A FEATHER BABY BLANKET.

The motif is designed for advanced crocheters, and once learned, you will want to use it over and over again as it is so much fun to make! Make your next poncho, pot holder, pillow cover, sweater or blanket. Its size is easily customizable for a variety of project types and would make an awesome yarn buster project.

This square is based on the lovely feather stitch, which creates a nice warm fabric. It is worked in both non-turned rounds as well as turned rounds and can be worked up to whatever dimension desired.

Use a larger hook than the one recommended for your yarn choice to accommodate the thickness of this stitch and to add a nice drape to your fabric. The pattern includes helpful photos to assist with stitch placement.

SIZE: The finished square = 10.5” x 10.5”

The pattern can be easily shortened or lengthened to accommodate any square dimensions required for your project by adding or eliminating rounds.

SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate/Advanced

YARN: Approximate yarn usage is 160 - 175 yards for a 10.5” square and will vary depending on the yarn, hook size and total number of rounds you complete.

HOOK SIZE: US Size I (5.5mm)
