Pretty stitches on handknit socks can really put a spring in your step, even if you’re the only one who knows they are there. Of course, there is nothing stopping you from showing them off, too!

Right twist and left twist stitches make up the feathery centre panel and the little chain link insertions that run down the leg and into the heel and toe. The heel has no flap, just some increase stitches and some short, turn and decrease rows. The result is an elegant sock that looks more elaborate than it really is.
