Inspired by the love radiating throughout the month of February, this afghan block has two adoring birds meeting over their nest of eggs upon the branch of a tree in a moment of pure affection. The nest is made of crossing cables that meet a branch sprouting off a tree that wanders up the right of the block.

Update sent out 02/10/15.

Correction to row 20: K6, P3, Cr3F, K2, C4B, (C4F) 2x, (C4B) 2x, C4F, (C4B) 3x, C4F, P5.
If you’re having problems with Rows 71, 73 and 75 please do the Cr4F instead of the Cr4FW.

Includes a lined version for easier following.

This afghan block is the second block in a series of 12 for the Year of the Afghan at Kamille’s Yarn Shop in West Jordan, UT. Every first Tuesday of the month I will release a new block.

Click here to purchase the e-book for $15 and on the first Tuesday of each month you will receive the updated copy with that month’s pattern without having to remember to upload it.
