This pattern provides written, charted, photo and video instructions for how to crochet Jacob’s Ladder fabric. If you purchase the standalone pattern via Ravelry, you will also separately receive access to the how-to video tutorials.
If you prefer to purchase a bundle of 10 patterns, then each pattern outlines how to make a strip, or panel, for a modular blanket called “From Grief to Grow, a blanket of becoming”.
You can read more here about why I designed this blanket.
In addition to the patterns and how-to tutorials, the blanket bundle also includes a different mindful crochet exercise for each strip. The purpose of these exercises it to provide practical tips, techniques and scripts that you can incorporate into your crochet time so that as your fingers create fabric, your mind is given time and space to heal from the pain of grief or loss.
If you are making a panel for the blanket, the finished strip will measure approximately 48” L x 9” W, before blocking.
To complete this panel you will need:
- Approximately 390 yards of aran weight yarn in one colour
- 6.0 mm hook
- Locking stitch markers
- Measuring tape
- Yarn needle
- T-pins and a blocking surface
If you want to use your crocheted fabric to make a standalone project like the suggested cowl, then you will also need buttons for fastening.
