Feel the Breeze is the first installment of Miss Babs’ 2024 Inspired Adventures Club! Miss Babs has created four breathtaking gradient sets for this design ~ the hardest part will be choosing! You can pre-order your kit now through February 12th, then dive into the knit-alongs on Ravelry and Facebook. The pattern and yarn colorways will be exclusive to club members through May 15th.

I hope that you will join the fun!

Feel the Breeze was inspired by a hike along Portugal’s Algarve coast. This area is an exhilarating blend of ocean air and breathtaking views, with rugged cliffs, turquoise waves, and dramatic rock formations rising out of the water. Along the way, you can relax on hidden beaches, enjoying the fresh coastal air.

I tried to capture the movement of the sea air in this shawl, with its array of beautiful rippling colors. It’s actually a breeze to knit: the ripples are created with just one pattern row, and the shawl is almost entirely garter stitch, without a single purl. Wear it as either a shawl or a scarf and delight in the lovely colors.

Instructions are fully written.

If you haven’t tried German short rows before, this is a great introduction ~ the pattern includes detailed instructions plus a photo tutorial, as well as a link to a video tutorial. You’ll be surprised by how easy these short rows are!

For your convenience, a page of check boxes for tracking progress is also included.
