Feeling Peachy Child's Cardigan
I first made this open front cardigan as a stashbuster, it is really great for that and works well with lots
of multi coloured yarns. The great thing about this design is that it is completely customisable. I have
given instructions for both the tunic length version and the standard/short length version. Also included are instructions on how to adapt the sizing to suit you.
This pattern was made with a confident beginner in mind and comes.in ages 2 to 11 years.
This pattern uses any DK yarn, acrylic or a wool blend
would work best. The tunic length rainbow version
pictured was made using ends of yarn that have been
in my stash for what feels like forever, the ball bands
were long gone. The standard peach version is made
using Deramores Studio Anti-Pilling DK in colourways
Pearl, Rosewood and Peach.
Given that the sizing can
be completely customisable you could really use any
weight yarn, Aran would work well for a heavier winter
version and 4ply for a nice light summer version - just
bear in mind that yarn amounts and sizing given will vary as a consequence.
