Pattern Description from the book:

These high-top booties are made from one multicolor skein of yarn, which the designer dyes in the specific lengths needed, but you could create the same effect using several different colors. The booties are built from the sole up, then you add the sides, the heel, and finally the tongue. Felting helps the booties keep their shape, so they’re snug and warm without being tight. The finished high-top looks something like a pixie might wear.

Recommended yarn is any natural animal fiber in worsted or DK weight that will provide the correct gauge. Designer used Henrys Attic 55% mohair/45% wool that was hand dyed.
