This is a darling snake, very colorful…perfect for beginner felters, or those who would like to use up those odds and ends!
I first created this pattern as a way to test which of the yarns (unlabeled), in my stash, were feltable! Since it only uses a total of 42 yards (6 of each color), it is a great stashbuster!
This pattern is also great for a beginner!
Skills needed:
Knitting, hand sewing, cast on, bind off, changing colors. Felting is optional. (The last photo shows the snake unfelted.)
Supplies needed:
US Size 8 Needles (straight)
About 42 Yards Worsted Weight Wool (not superwash, if you intend to felt) Uses about 6 yards each, of 7 different colors (listed in the pattern)
Scrap black wool yarn
Tapestry Needle
This would also be a fun project to do, as a group….Each person could purchase a different color of yarn (if they didn’t have leftover wool), and knit it up in an evening!
Feel free to sell whatever you make! I only ask that you give credit to me, for the pattern, in case someone else would like to purchase it….and, of course, that you do not sell or copy the pattern, itself.
