Fennel the Highland Cow
Easy to follow instructions for knitting and felting your own Happy Highland Cow
The Fennel Highland Cow is knitted and the pieces felted (fulled) before assembly. Once assembled you have the perfect form for adding needle felted detail to bring your Cow to life and for a totally unique realistic appearance.
You will also need:
65g Brown 100% wool yarn (Not Super-wash Aran weight, I used Drops Alaska)
Carded Alpaca fleece or glossy brown Merino felting wool (long lengths for the coat)
grey, black, brown and white  felting wool
15cm length of forestry wire (for shaping the horns)
1 x pair 5mm Knitting needles
knitters needle for sewing up
Toy filling
Needle felting needle.
Tension 17 sts and 22 rows to 10 cm square, measured over st st using 5mm needles.
Not suitable for children.
